  • Super Committee Failure and the Contract for the American Dream

The recent Congressional Super Committee’s failure to address the country’s budget should not disappoint Latinos. The Committee’s proposals were harmful to the bienestar (well-being) of our families. Latinos want public elected officials to be fair and responsible in supporting policies that create a level playing field of opportunity.

Tell you representative (national, state and local) to support a renewed contract for the American Dream – measure their support by whether they will:

    • Invest in America’s Infrastructure
    • Invest in Public Education
    • Offer Medicare for All
    • Make Work Pay
    • Secure Social Security
    • Return to Fairer tax Rates
    • End the wars and Invest at Home
    • Tax Wall Street Speculation
    • Strengthen Democracy
